Safety Camp is filled. Please contact the Fire Department at 734-878-6788 or the Township Hall at 734-878-3131, if you'd like your child to be put on a waiting list.

The Putnam Township Fire Department is hosting a Safety Camp on August 9, 10 & 11 for kids ages 7-12.

This free, three-day educational camp teaches kids about how public safety departments protect them and their communities. They’ll also learn how they can help to keep themselves safe.

Camp Schedule

August 9 - Police Safety Day
Activities include: Stranger Danger, Bicycle Safety and Police Car Tours

August 10th - Fire Safety Day
Activities include: Burn House, Stop Drop & Roll, Fire Extinguisher Training, First Aid Training, Home Escape Plans and EMS/Ambulance

August 11th - Bus Safety/Obstacle Course
Activities include: School Bus Safety, Fire Department Obstacle Course, Graduation at 3 p.m.

Registration is limited to the first 25 kids and ends on July 27, at 4 p.m. Register by:

• Calling the Putnam Township Fire Department at 734-878-6788.
• Visiting the Fire Department at 3250 W. M-36.
• Visiting the Putnam Township Hall at 3280 W. M-36.
• Fill out the registration and consent form and return to Lt. Brandy Mason at bmason@putnamtwp.us.
