Notary Services
A notary public is an officer appointed by the Michigan Secretary of State. A notary helps to prevent fraud by attesting to the authenticity of a person's signature, administering oaths, and witnessing acknowledgements. Notarization on a document certifies that the person named on it appeared before the notary, displayed valid identification and was in the presence of the notary at the time of signing.
We have several notaries available at the Township Hall, typically, during regular business hours. While no appointment is necessary for this service, please call the Township before coming in, just to make sure a notary is available to assist you. There is no fee for this service.
