Senior Center Hours:
Your local Senior Center is located at 131 S. Howell St., in the Town Square. The center is open Monday thru Thursday from 10am – 2pm. Winter Hours December 1st - April 1st
Friday 10am - 12:30pm
In the event of severe weather conditions, the building will be closed.
A nutritious hot lunch is served Monday thru Friday at 11:45 am. There is a suggested donation of $3.00 per meal. This meal is provided by the Livingston County Senior Nutrition Program and homebound (or meals on wheels) meals are available by calling (810) 632-2155 or 1-888-886-8971
Social and recreational programs are offered Monday thru Friday and include, cards, bingo, arts and crafts, Oil painting, exercise (daily),health and educational guest speakers, annual health & flu clinics, estate planning, travel, monthly blood pressure testing, monthly birthday parties, and monthly visits from our local resource advocate. TOP’s (take off pounds sensibly) meets every Tuesday at 1 pm (open to all ages). Monthly newsletters are available at the center.
Some baked goods are available daily for seniors thanks to Busch’s and the Pinckney Bakery.
Many local businesses regularly donate to the center and offer senior specials.
The center director can also refer you to local agencies that provide services to Livingston County seniors such as OLHSA, Catholic Social Services, Liv. Co. Health Dept., other local senior centers as well as many others. For meal reservation or a schedule of events, call, 810-225-3758. (Meals must be ordered 24 hrs in advance) Volunteers are always welcomed and needed. If you know a senior who needs socialization, recreation or new friends, take them to their local senior center where they will find a friendly and warm environment. If you have a hobby to share, we are always interested in learning new things.
